1. How do I get to Kahala Eye Clinic from Longs Drugs at Kahala Mall?

2. Does Kahala Eye Clinic accept Medical Insurance?

Yes, we accept a variety of medical insurance plans and directly bill your insurance for covered services. Commonly used plans include Anthem, Premera, HMSA, Aetna, Tricare, and more. If we do not contract with your insurance provider, we can often submit claims on your behalf for reimbursement. This ensures you receive maximum benefits with minimal hassle.

3. What Vision Insurance does Kahala Eye Clinic accept?

At Kahala Eye Clinic, we help clients utilize their vision insurance for exam fees, glasses, and contact lenses. Popular plans used by our patients include HMSA, VSP, Spectera, Davis, EyeMed, and others. We do not contract directly with vision insurance plans, and we simplify the reimbursement process so you can receive a check for your benefits. Additionally, we accept FSA/HSA funds and offer flexible financing options for your convenience.

4. I’m visiting Hawaii and lost a contact lens. Can I get a free replacement without an eye exam?

Yes, we can provide a replacement contact lens if you have a provided an active prescription, and make any purchase (sunglasses, eye exam, or eyewear).

5. Do you accept QUEST or HMSA-QUEST insurance?

No, Kahala Eye Clinic does not accept QUEST insurance. If you have questions about your benefits or would like information on self-pay options, feel free to contact our office directly.

​​​​​​​6. What is your policy on refunds or cancellations for glasses orders?

All eyewear are custom-made specifically for each patient. Once lenses are cut and frames are adjusted, we are unable to offer refunds or cancellations, as the product is tailored and cannot be resold. This policy is reviewed at the time of purchase to ensure full understanding.
For glasses ordered with a partial payment, the remaining balance must be paid in full before the glasses can be released.
